Toshiba M700 PCI Simple Communication Controller Still working on the clean install of Windows Vista on the Toshiba M700 Tablet convertible laptop/notebook
So this was a unit that was purchased with no hard drive "previous owner had a drive crash and removed it" and no recovery disks... I know .. stupid me thinking this would be easy.. So with the COA I know I am legal in loading Vista Business on the notebook. So a clean install with a new drive was in order.
Multiple and I mean alot of drivers installed off of Toshiba's wonderful site "Note the Sarcasm" now have PCI Simple Communications Controller" in device manager with the trusty yellow !... Wonderful... Turns out you must install the proper AMT driver not just any old AMT driver off Toshiba's web site but as of today the file name is driver_intel_amt_26827C.exe.. I'm not going to even bother with a link cause Toshiba will convert it and just send you to their default support page.
Good luck in your search for drivers... I think this may work for Windows 7 as well but I will not be trying it .. this one will be on CraigsList in the morning.
Not my cup of Tea... Will be going back to my MacBook Pro Thank You Very Much ... it Just Works.
OH yea and not a FanBoy... Have multiple PC's/Servers I support with Windows.. HA.
