If you need to Upgrade the Hard Drive on the LT3103u check this post
If you need to put Windows 7 on the LT31 series NetBook check out this post
If you need to remove the memory check this post.
Gateway has made it incredibly easy to get to the Memory, Hard Drive, and other components on the LT31 series NetBook.
But to show you how easy it is... You will only need to do this if the chip goes bad for some reason or ... if you are trying to make a Hackintosh out of the Gateway LT31 series netbook which by the way would be a nifty platform to put OS X on ... But as has been written in quite a few places that the Atheros cards do not play nice with Mac OS X
Flip the Gateway LT3103u over so you are looking at the underside.
Remove the battery. Just push the 2 slides out and pull the battery loose.
The two screws on the lower left side are the ones we will be removing, they are attached to the cover so no need to remove them entirely.
Remove the screw holding the Atheros AR5B95 Wireless Network adapter in the Gateway LT3103u, and pop the white and black wires off ... just make sure they go back in the same position when replacing the card... the card will pop up and you can pull it out.
Good Luck in all of your endeavors, and remember digital is bliss, but cheap is priceless.... Donate to day...

Hey Admin,
Can I ask you for a little favor ?
I have purchased my HP Pavilion DV6 3050TX Notebook just before few months.
Due to poor reception of my WiFi Router, I wanna add a external antenna (I would prefer to go with Yagi Directional Antenna).
Can you guide me further to attach cables to my Atheros Card ?
I`m having Atheros AR5B95 card on my board.
I`m confused over two Black & White cables.
Are they both needed to be removed to attach antenna ?
If you can, just hang me up on [the pass place @ gmail.com] )without space), I would appreciate alot.
